Football & Room...

Over the years, Sohan's interest has changed. From Thomas, he went to Khalsa where he has umpteen books of his drawing of them, watched DVDs of the sikh animation movies and Dharmik Geets non stop whole day long. Even for his 5th birthday, he has a Khalsa cake with the picture of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur. Then, this year came the World Cup and his newfound passion; football. He is so into it that he only has football whole day long on his mind. He has numerous jerseys, a huge collection of football cards, knows his players by hard not to mention a great goal keeper! Signs of my little boy growing up.

Recently I have been putting it in his head that he will need to start sleeping in his own room from December onwards. He is quite afraid of it but i can see some excitement now that i have moved his clothes into his own room. He diligently takes his baths there and is getting used to the independence. maybe the sleeping alone without his beloved pitaji take some time, and till then i need to accomplish my task of doing up the kids room to futher create the sense of belonging to it.

School!!!!

2 years!! I had almost forgotten about this blog as i had gotten so caught up with tending to work and home life. Working plus taking care of 2 young kids in today's world if not an easy task!
So much has happened, wish i could rewind back time to remember things as these past two years especially for Nimmerta are the most funny and memorable ones.

Its almost year end now and my babies are growing up...Sohan will be leaving his kindy years and moving into a whole new phase of his life; primary school. I am actually very anxious for him and always silently praying that all will be well. This Saturday is his entrance assessment and Jagdev and me have been trying to prepare him with some basic stuff...however, he has fallen ill and things have slowed down a little. But i do believe that for such an innocent and pure child like him, Guruji will take care of it all :)

Nimmerta on the other hand, had started school this year at the tender age of 2 1/2 years...anyway, it was she who insisted on going to school and i had to give in as i could not tolerate the hysterical cries of hers every morning anymore..LOL! But half way through, i realised that she was more interested in the activities (singing & coloring) rather than studying (naturally at her age) therefore for next year am on the hunt for a playschool which is more fun based and not too focused on education. Its been really a headache as there are no playschools nearby our home, as such the hunt continues...
